The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has released the BPSC Special School Teacher Recruitment 2025 with  7279 vacancies for Class 1-5 and upper primary Class 6-8 levels. Educational Qualifications below 

For the Primary Level (Class 1-5) candidates must have passed Higher Secondary (10+2) with at least 50% marks along with a Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) in Special Education from an RCI-recognized institute. Additionally a valid CRR (Central Rehabilitation Register) number issued by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) is mandatory. Candidates must also have completed six months of teaching training in cross-disability.

For the Upper Primary Level (Class 6-8) applicants need a Bachelor’s degree with 50% marks along with a B.Ed in Special Education from an RCI-approved institution. Similar to the primary level a CRR number and six months of cross-disability training are compulsory.

The age limit  for BPSC Special Teacher Recruitment is mentioned below:

• • General Male candidates can apply up to 37 years.

  • General Female, BC, and EBC candidates can apply up to 40 years.

  • SC/ST candidates have a higher limit of 42 years.

Selection Process For Teacher Posts  And Exam Pattern

The selection for BPSC Special Teacher posts will be based on a written examination followed by document verification. The exam pattern is different  for primary and upper primary levels:

Exam pattern For Primary Level (Class 1-5)

• Part-I (Language): 30 marks (English & Hindi/Urdu/Bangla) – Qualifying in nature.

• Part-II (General Studies): 120 marks covering Primary Maths Mental Ability General Science Social Studies and Environmental Studies.

Exam pattern For Upper Primary Level teacher posts

• Part-I (Language): 30 marks (Qualifying).

Selected candidates will receive a monthly salary as per Bihar government norms:
